چکیده

We address the problem of modelling asymmetric pulses within the framework of finite-rate-of-innovation (FRI) signals. We use the fractional Hilbert transform to model asymmetry in the pulse shape. The annihilating filter is employed to estimate the locations of the pulses. The asymmetry of the pulses manifests as a complex phase factor in the Fourierdomain expression of the signal. We model a single QRS complex of an electrocardiogram (ECG) signal as a sum of a symmetric Gaussian and its Hilbert transform, which is antisymmetric. Since the Hilbert transform of a Gaussian pulse is not compactly supported, we truncate it using a Hamming window. We apply the proposed technique to three ECG datasets: ECG of healthy person having normal cardiac conditions, person with left ventricular hypertrophy, and person suffering from right ventricular hypertrophy. A comparison of the estimated amplitude and asymmetry parameters for the three datasets is shown, and a preliminary diagnostic tool for characterization of ventricular hypertrophy is proposed.

Detection of Cardiac Hypertrophy by RVM and SVM Algorithms

The meaning of the hypertropy word is the increasing size.Heart hypertropy is symptoms of increase the thickness of the heart muscle that the left ventricular hypertrophy of them is the most common. The causes of hypertrophy heart disease are high blood pressure , aortic valve stenosis and sport activities respectively. Assessment of that by using ECG signal analysis is essential Because the ris...

REGRESSION OF LEFT VENTRICULAR HYPERTROPHY AFTER SUCCESSFUL RENAL TRANSPLANTATION AMONG UREMIC PATIENTS

Recognition of the natural history and responsible leading factors for regression of left ventricular hypertrophy after successful renal transplantation are very important. The aim of this study was to assess the regression of left ventricular hypertrophy after successful renal transplantation among uremic patients. In this study 27 uremic patients (18 males and 9 females) with an average a...

Resveratrol Suppresses Cardiac Renin Angiotensin System in the Late Phase of Left Ventricular Hypertrophy

Background and objectives: Resveratrol(3,5,4′-trihydroxy-trans-stilbene) is a natural polyphenole phytoalexin which exerts potential cardioprotective effects, but the cellular and molecular mechanisms responsible for these effects are still unknown. Cardiac renin angiotensin system (RAS) over-activation plays an important role in pathogenesis of left ventricula...

Analytical Investigation of Forced Convection in Thermally Developed Region of a Channel Partially Filled with an Asymmetric Porous Material- LTNE Model

In present work forced convection flow in a channel partly filled with a porous media under asymmetric heat flux boundary condition has been investigated. The porous material is distributed on the one wall. Darcy–Brinkman and LTNE model have been assumed in order to solve momentum and energy equations, respectively. Fully developed conditions are considered in order to solve velocity and the te...
